A darker, just as beautiful variation of butterfly fish, this still has a lovely yellow base with orange speckles but large spots of black. These were my test skeins and at first I was unhappy with how it looked. That’s why I developed Variation 1. As I worked up the granny square for this though, I fell in love. Therefore I am offering both.
The SeaLife collection will be a forever collection that I’ll add to and change as my heart desires. If you see something you love, please buy it. I am not guaranteeing that a specific colorway will be around forever.
$2 from every skein sold from this collection will be donated on a QUARTERLY basis to an organization or foundation that helps to support our oceans and clean them up. The first quarter’s donations will be going to the Coral Restoration Foundation based in Key Largo, Florida that works to reintroduce staghorn and elkhorn corals to the Florida Reef Tract.
In an effort to raise as many funds as possible for each organization each quarter, I thought I would not allow any discounts codes to be used. After a lot of thought, I’ve decided to allow the sweater quantity discounts to be used if a person would like to purchase some yarn and support a great cause but may be is a little tight on funds. Therefore, you can see the sweater quantity discounts offered below and their corresponding codes.
I now offer a sweater quantity discount. Please see the chart below for the codes and corresponding discount.
|sweater10||10% off 4-6 skeins|
|sweater15||15% off 7+ skeins|
Leave me a comment in the checkout notes and I’ll be more than happy to cake any skein up for you.
This listing is for a single skein. Please purchase your desired quantity using the quantity selector.
While I strive to take as accurate of a photo for each colorway, photos are a representation and your skein will not be exactly the one(s) in the photo(s). I hand dye/paint/speckle each individual skein and as is the nature of indie dyed yarn, every single skein is unique. I hope that we can all accept and be ok with that fact. To prevent color pooling in larger projects, it is recommended that you alternate skeins either every row or every other row.
I soak in an unscented (or minimally scented) soap and wash each skein until the water runs clear. Some color bleeding for the first few washes may be possible though so it is advised to wash separately.
Additionally, while superwash items are technically machine washable, for the longevity of your piece, it is recommended that all handmade items are hand washed and laid flat to dry.
